The former class ! The legend of Manchester United strikes a pose in old school clothes. Simple style but with a lot of class also the girl seems to succumb to his charm. George had not only charm, he also had a lot of talent.

George Best was a Nothern Irish (from Belfast) professional footballer who built a fantastic winger carrer in Manchester during the 1960’s and the 1970’s. He played 470 matches with the Red Devils and scored 179 goals.  During this 11 years with Manchester, he especially won the European Cup in 1968 and was named the same year the European Footballer of the Year and FWA (Football Writers Association who exist for English football only) Footballer of the Year.

For the Nothern Ireland George Best is considerated as a god. The Irish Football Association said about him that he is “the greatest player to ever pull on the green shirt of Nothern Ireland.

A common description of his place in football history is summed up by the quote “Maradona good, Pelé better, George Best”.

George died in 2005 as a result of alcoholism and long disease at the age of 59. According to the BBC, Best was remembered by mourners at his public funeral held in Belfast as “the beautiful boy with a beautiful game“.
